Cookies can be distinguished according to the aims and the purpose of use.

What are Cookies

Cookies are small text strings that the sites visited by the user send to its terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored before being transmitted back to the same sites at the next visit of the same user. During the navigation of a site, the user can receive on his device even cookies that are sent from different web sites or servers (the "third parties"), on which they may reside some elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages on other domains) belonging to the same site that are visiting. They identified two main categories: "technical" and "profiling" cookies.

  1. a) Technical Cookies

Those are one used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or, as strictly necessary, by the provider of an information technology company to perform a service expressly requested by the subscriber or user” (Section 122, paragraph 1, of the Italian Code concerning the protection of personal data). They are not used for different purposes and are normally installed by the owner or by the operator of the website. They can be divided into: (i) “navigation cookies” or “session cookies”, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate the access to restricted areas); (ii) “analytics cookies”, that must be assimilate to technical cookies when they are used directly by the site operator to collect information, in an aggregate form, concerning the number of users and how they visit the website itself; (iii) “functionality cookies”, that allow a user to browse following of a set of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected to be purchases) in order to improve the service rendered to the user itself.

Installation of technical cookies is allowed without any prior approval of the users, but the owner of the website is obliged to provide the information pursuant to Section 13 of the Code regarding the protection of personal data, which the site manager, if he uses only such devices (other cookies excluded), may provide in the most appropriate manner.

  1. b) Profiling Cookies

Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles of the users and they are utilised to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by each single user by internet browsing.

The European and Italian legislation requires to inform properly the user with reference to the use of profiling cookies and to obtain previously their valid consent. Section 122 of the Code refers to profiling cookies, providing as follows: "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or of a user or access to information already stored, are only allowed on condition that the contractor or the user has given its previous consent, after being informed trough the simplified procedures provided set forth in Section 13, paragraph 3". (Section 122, paragraph 1, of the Code regarding the protection of personal data).

  1. c) Third-party cookies for marketing / retargeting

Third-party cookies are used by third-party companies and allow the user to view advertising banners on other affiliate websites, showing the latest products displayed on site. In addition, while browsing the site these cookies are used to let the user display products that may interest the user and/or similar to products seen previously by the user.

How to disable cookies?

Most browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) are configured to accept cookies. Cookies, that are stored on your device's hard drive, can still be deleted. On every case, the user can disable cookies simply following directions provided in the sections devoted to browser settings. Alternatively, the user can refer to browser manufacturer's website used.

Information and consent concerning personal data processing

We wish to inform you that Decreto Legislativo 196 of June 30, 2003 ("Code regarding the protection of personal data", hereinafter referred to as the "Code") provides for the protection of persons and other subjects regarding the processing of personal data. According to this law, this treatment will be based on principles of fairness, legality and transparency and protection of your privacy and your rights.

Under Section 13 of the Code, the personal information provided by the undersigned interested party (hereinafter referred to as the "Interested") will be handled by Business Partners s.r.l., a company constituted under the law of the Republic of Italy, with registered office in Milan, via Giosué Carducci 22 (hereinafter referred to as the "Holder") for purposes related to the provision of the services requested to the Holder by the Interested.

The treatment of personal data can potentially involve sensitive data (according to Section 4, paragraph 1, letter d) of the Code. The responsible and processor of the data designated by the Holder is Savina Stacul, Sole Director and legal representative of the Holder.

Some shareholder, partners or members of the staff of the Holder, as in charge of said treatment, could be enabled to access the data, even sensitive, of the Interested in order to perform the tasks and duties assigned to them in relation to the processing purposes.

Communication of personal data could be required in order to consent the execution of contractual obligations of the Holder. Any refusal to provide data may cause the termination of the contractual relationship.

The collected data - including sensitive ones - and information relating to services provided by the Holder will be disclosed to third parties only if necessary (such as, but not limited to, partners of the Holder, public offices, tax commissions, bank, institutions) to carry out activities instrumental to the purpose of treatment or the fulfilment of contractual obligations and can be used in commercial publications within the organization of the Holder.

The collected data will be processed only through information technologies devices and will not be disclosed to third parties in any way.

Section 7 of the Code (which is entirely reproduced in the annex) confers to the Interested specific rights including the right to obtain from the Holder

  • the information concerning if the Holder is treating personal data concerning him,
  • the availability of the data – if existing - in an intelligible form;
  • the knowledge of the data, and the logic and purpose on which the treatment is based;
  • the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed unlawfully,
  • updating, rectification or, if interested, integration of data;

The interested is also legitimate to oppose, for legitimate reasons, the treatment itself.

In the exercise of those rights, the Interested can confer, in writing, delegate or proxy to individuals, institutions, associations or bodies or to be assisted by a trusted person.

These rights may be exercised through a written request to be sent to the registered office of the Holder by registered letter, fax or email to the email address:, kind attention to Savina Stacul.

Therefore, pursuant to Section 23 of the Code, the Interested is asked to give its consent to:

(i) legitimate the Holder to treat the sensitive data for the aforementioned purposes;

(ii) the disclosure of sensitive information to the indicated third parties.

Section 7, Decreto Legislativo 196/2003, right to access personal data and other rights

  1. The Interested is entitled to obtain
  • the confirmation whether there are or not personal data concerning him, even if not yet recorded;
  • the communication of these personal data in intelligible form.

  1. The Interested is entitled to obtain the following information:
  2. a) the origin of personal data;
  3. b) the purposes and methods of the relevant treatment;
  4. c) the logic to be applied in case of processing through electronic instruments;
  5. d) the identity of the owner, manager and the representative appointed as per article 5, paragraph 2;
  6. e) subjects or categories of persons to whom the data may be communicated or who can be informed about them as appointed representative of the holder of the treatment or as its manager or as its agent.

  1. The Interested is entitled to obtain:
  2. a) updating, rectification or, when interested, integration of data treated;
  3. b) the cancellation, anonymization or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;
  4. c) certification that the operations above listed in letters a) and b) have been notified, also with reference to their content, to those to whom the data were communicated or disclosed, except in case it is impossible or it involves an effort that is manifestly disproportionate to the right to be protected.

  1. The Interested is entitled to oppose, in whole or in part, to:
  2. a) the processing of personal data, for legitimate reasons, pertinent for collection purposes;
  3. b) the processing of personal data for purposes related to sending advertising materials or direct selling or inherent carrying out of market research or commercial communication.
